Bike tours on Ærø

Cycling on Ærø – by bike from Søby across the island

Ærø is an island of short distances and good cycle routes: around 150 kilometres of well-built, quiet paths lead along the coast, past fields and through the three main towns.

The main routes

The national cycle route N8, the Baltic Sea Cycle Route, runs on Ærø from Søby to Ærøskøbing. This stretch is 18.5 kilometres long and, according to VisitÆrø, crosses rolling countryside past small villages with views of the South Funen archipelago.

If you want to see the whole island, follow the round-island route of just over 100 kilometres. It is easy to split into several days or stages.
